Twiglet in his boots loaned to us by D2D, along with a gingerlead and a stroller. Their help has been fantastic and in thanks, I built the website for them. If you can support them, please do! Charlotte and Elaine are both experts who give such help and comfort to so many owners when they and their dogs really need it.
Having a stroller has been amazing! Indie has awful separation anxiety when she doesn’t have her brother by her side. Thanks to D2D Rupert gets to go for a walk, and Indie gets to be with him. Rupert even gets in for a quick cuddle sometimes. I don’t know what we would have done without it
This is Pepper, 3 years old. She was unfortunately hit by a car (just last week) which ultimately meant she needed major bladder and pelvis surgery. Due to the incident she has also lost the use of her rear left leg. Having a pen is helping myself and my husband to be able to leave her to go do basic things the food shop or put the washing out. We are so overwhelmed by the support D2D have offered us, her pen I know is just the start. D2D really has been a place my husband and I are able to learn how to adapt to Pepper's needs. Cannot thank you enough for everything up to now and what will come.
Mylo in his stroller provided by D2D, being checked on by Millie.
Mylo was rushed to the emergency vets one evening after having difficulty walking and in some pain.
The vets diagnosed stage 1 IVDD. Complete rest for at least 2 weeks. We had a crate and I contacted D2D (Charlotte) who very quickly arranged for a stroller so we could continue to take him out with the other two. Thanks to D2D the crate rest and stroller gave Mylo the rest he needed to heal. We also donate now to D2D via standing order monthly so they can continue their great work. Thank you D2D
Granny Joy would be lost without the stroller and the elderly dachshund sign helps raise awareness
Here is Henry hound using the equipment loaned to us. Henry was the most happy dog, loved the beach and loved swimming. He was in the sea Sunday night and Monday morning he lost his legs. Without the loan we wouldn’t be able to visit his favourite places, the beach and the club where he’s quite the celebrity. Without the stimulation of the outside world Henry is sad, the stroller really picks him up and gives us a sense of normality.
This is Florence, she had surgery in May 2019. D2D lent us a gingerlead which was an absolute game changer, so very grateful for all the fantastic support you gave us.
Emrys in the pen loaned to us by D2D
Dudley presented with rapid breathing and a stiff stomach on July 10th 2020 at 5pm after running around the garden chasing the birds as usual. I took him straight to our vet where they wanted to observe him for a couple of hours. At 8pm I got a call saying Dudley had lost the use of his back legs and was in a lot of pain and should be kept in over night whilst they try and book him into a specialist. Surgery was done at lunch time and I was a wreck! But thanks to Dedicated to Dachshunds - Elaine calmed me down and offered the support of a Pen, Ginger Lead a Crate as well as booties as we have wood flooring.Thank you once again for the incredible support and kindness given throughout Dudley’s recovery x
Dexter is 7 years old, grade 4 IVDD in January leading to surgery.Dedicated to dachshunds stepped in at my time of worry and sadness. Offering lovely kind words, advice and of course the loan of much needed equipment. I will be forever grateful.
Bella in her buggy. She was a bit different that she had a piece of her spine missing. But her spinal cord was being compromised. An operation and implant at Fitzpatricks operated on by the Supervet himself. Her 3 month crate rest meant the buggy was invaluable at getting her out and about during her recovery. We will always be profoundly grateful at the loan of the buggy.
